Here is my card:

cardset1-590

I plan to write for House M.D. (any character, pairing, threesome or moresome) and Sherlock BBC (John/Sherlock only, because they are the two characters we see most on screen, I haven't written any fic at all for this fandom yet, and am intimidated.)

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to write them in the comments. I'm trying to brainstorm. ;)

LJ Issues?

I'm having trouble posting comments. Sometimes, it will let me post comments, other times, it eats my comments or just stops working altogether. Anyone else having this issue?

Edit: LJ (for now) appears to be working again.

We all know that House/Cameron, House/Cuddy, and House/Wilson dominate the House M.D. fandom shiposphere. But, I'm curious to know...what is your favorite rarepair?

Here are mine... )

So...yes, they're brothers.

But...what exactly, is their relationship?

It's confusing. When we first meet Mycroft, he wants to pay off John to keep tabs on Sherlock. But Mycroft claims it's merely because he cares about Sherlock.

Sherlock seems to have a lot of distaste for his brother, Mycroft and Sherlock discuss caring as being disadvantageous, and when John seeks Mycroft's help with regard to Sherlock, Mycroft mentions that there are years of painful history behind them.

Not to mention the fact that when Mycroft said that Sherlock always gave their mother trouble, Sherlock is quick to say that it was actually Mycroft giving their mother trouble.

Not to mention, Mycroft fed Moriarty information about Sherlock...But why? It's just...I am so confused.

Also, Sherlock definitely thinks that Mycroft is intelligent, almost seeming perhaps afraid or intimidated by that fact.

Is Mycroft a protective older brother? Were they two intelligent minds and two determined personalities battling for superiority, with one being basically the entire British government and the other being the world's only consulting detective? Were they competitive? Did they have a falling out?

What is their relationship, for real?

...So yes, just finished watching, and am currently trying to recover after that because I think I have just been infected with FEELS. My reaction post is here on Tumblr and I will post more, hopefully coherent, thoughts when my heart doesn't feel like it's going to shatter into a million shards of fangirl.

I will only ever be in the House M.D. fandom and will never find another fandom.

I will only ever be in the House M.D. fandom, and might watch another show, but will never want to fandom for it.

I will continue to be in the House M.D. fandom, have now found another show that *might* be making me fangirl over it (although I haven't seen all the episodes yet), and I *may* want to find the fandom for it but I don't know how, and am concerned it may already be dead.

Can you guess the show? ;) (Although, it is something that will probably be pretty obvious.)

Which House villian did you dislike more?

Personally, I disliked Tritter more. Vogler was a tyrant, yes, but...Tritter was slimier, somehow. IMO, a donor wanting more control over hospital happenings and staff is more forgiveable than someone who is supposed to uphold laws and ensure they are being followed but instead exploits them for his own gain.

That being said, I think that Vogler had less of an arguable reason to try to get House fired than Tritter did. I think there were similarities in the power plays. Vogler wanted House to listen to his authority, and if House wouldn't, he was out. Tritter's actions...seemed more personal somehow. I mean, I think any sort of anger after what House did to Tritter is justifiable, but I don't believe Tritter's actions really fit what House did to him.

Vogler forced Wilson to resign, but Tritter....he destroyed Wilson's practice from the inside out, it seemed to hurt Wilson a lot more.

Both Tritter and Volger, however, tried to force House's colleagues to turn against him. (That's actually textbook behavior for some adolescent females, but that's beside the point.)

It was rather difficult to see Tritter's motivation beyond revenge. And Vogler's motivation beyond power.

(These are all merely my opinions by the way, and I do not think House was 100% innocent in either case.)

What do you think?

I'm none too familiar with the latter, but apparently there are characters in Sherlock Holmes with the names "Greg" and "Jim." So...I'm wondering if these were also inspirations drawn for "Gregory" House and "James" Wilson? (I was already aware of Holmes/House and Watson/Wilson.)
petitecuriosity: (Default)
Here! Go check it out. It is House-related. SURPRISINGLY.

So...LJ deleted my comments before I was finished typing them. So then I retyped the comments, and then they managed to post, fully.

Is anyone else having this problem?

(I'm also using this as a test post to see if posting entries still works.)
